Congratulations to HHS Eagle Sherelle for winning a Merit Award at the Area Wide High School Art Show in Liberal at the Baker Arts Center
She's just one of 10 HHS Students whose Art Work Has Been Selected to Participate in the 23rd Annual High School Art Exhibit at the Center:

Cristian, Jennifer, Katelynn, Brianna, Alondra, Kaitlyn, Sherelle, Brissa, Katie, Scarlette.  The exhibit runs through March 27th.  Location/Times are 624 N. Pershing, T-F 9-12 & 1-4; Sat 2-5.

Hugoton HS Sports Continue to Excel!

Congratulations to Coach Mahan and Coach Campbell for another stellar season.  Our wrestling team was 2nd in the GWAC League, 4th in the state's toughest Region and 12th place at State.

Fly Like An Eagle Nominees & Recipients!

   Twenty two of 296 HHS students qualified for the “Fly Like An Eagle” giveaway, January 5.  Those students qualifying had to meet ALL of the following requirements between October 17, 2011 and December 21, 2011:  No lunch card detentions, discipline points, unexcused absences and no failing grades at 1st and 2nd nine weeks, and semester.  They also had to be documented for at least ONE case of “Being There” for a friend by a teacher, fellow student, or anyone. The twenty students drew for an Amazon Fire Kindle and gift certificates from Subway, McDonalds, Showplace, Pizza Hut and two cash prizes.

HHS Student Art Exhibit Open to Public

Be sure to drop by Le Rouge Salon at 518 S. Main to view works of art designed by our own students, and to support their creative efforts:  Alondra, Brianna, Katie, Mariah, Brissa, Kaitlyn, Sherelle, Stetson, and Chalen.  Viewing hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm. (photos to be posted soon)
